This month’s Parish Council Meeting will take place on Aug.31, at 7:00 p.m., in the Parish Center.
Retreats Available
The following two retreats will take place at Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat, 107 Holy Trinity Road, Fort Mitchell, Alabama 36856. For registration (and more information) concerning either retreat, please call Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat at 334-855-4474.
• "Healing Shame to Heal Our Deepest Hurts" (Sept. 3, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). Shame makes us feel inadequate and unlovable, and we can act out on it through addictions, compulsions and destructive relationships. This one-day workshop will focus on the dynamics of healing this shame so that our deepest hurts can be healed.
• "Healing Our Image of God to Heal Life's Hurts" (Sept. 3-5). When we've been wounded, we often withhold our trust of God and others. Healing occurs as we develop a loving image of God. This weekend retreat will use Erik Erickson's eight stages of development to heal negative memories and strengthen positive ones.
