  9. Sound System for Walsh Hall: Father Eric has met with two men from Albany, Georgia that know about video and audio system for the Church and Walsh Hall. They recommended installing cable instead of going wireless and also recommended using a large flat screen television for the Hispanic overflow for the Mass.

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Painting: Plans are to continue to get volunteers from Parish to begin a project to paint one room at a time in the Church after the first of the year.
  2.

  3. Mass Cards: Sandy wanted to know if the Parish had Mass cards to send out when needed. Father Eric stated we have different boxes of Mass cards to send to Parish and families when needed. He always writes a note on each card.
  4.

  5. Hot Water Heater: Discussed replacing the hot water heater in Walsh Hall. Water smells very bad when using the hot water. An extra large water heater (50 gallon) cost around $1600 with installation. Would not need a large water heater.
  6.

  7. Ladies' Guild: Twenty-nine members have paid dues.

A family with four children in our Parish are in need. Ladies are getting gifts for them. Four families in the Parish are going to receive a Christmas basket by December 22nd.

Two ladies from the Serenity house are expecting babies in January. Ladies Guild made up two baskets of things they will need along with a couple of outfits. One is a boy. We also purchased a gift for each mother.

A twenty-five dollar gift card was given to the Serenity House to buy food. Other donations were lipstick, soap, shampoo, Kleenex, nail polish, gloves, and a couple jackets.

They visited five ladies at Park Regency and one teenager.

Had a Christmas Party on December 2nd.

Next Ladies Guild meeting will be in January.
  8.

  9. Financial Report: Richard Fetterman handed out the Financial Report to each council member. As of November 30th, there was $10,023 in Checking Account and $5,466 in Savings. Income after expenses is $1,226.26.

Father Eric has contacted the CEO of the Parish Twenty Program to let them know that we were no longer in the program for Haiti. Due to the economy, our Parish will be giving to the local community. Collections received for charity vary each month. May need to use more discretion on how Charity Funds are disbursed.

Hispanics made $1,808 profit from their luncheon.

A new refrigerator had to be purchased for the Rectory in November.

Father Eric was able to get a credit card from Ameris Bank instead of Chase.

It was discussed that new members need to be selected for the Finance Committee that have finance experience.

vHaving no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for January 11th at 7:00 p.m.
