Parish council meeting was held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 7:15 p.m. Fr. Eric opened the meeting with prayer.

 

ATTENDANCE: Mike Fuches, Andrew Erickerson, Rich Fetterman, Sharon White, Lee Willis, Mary Walsh and Fr. Eric Filmer.

 

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Thermostat: Richard Fetterman will be talking to Andy Rhodes about what to install in the Walsh Hall
  2.  

  3. Painting the Parish hall, rooms, and kitchen is still on hold.
  4.  

  5. Fr. Eric showed two drawings of the stained-glass windows. They were very impressive. Lee Willis had received the drawing of her window, but she didn’t like it. Lee called the artist and discussed it with her. She is going to make the changes Lee requested.
  6.  

  7. There was no report from Mary Ann Grose about the Spaghetti Supper changes.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

  1. Ladies Guild Report: The ladies met August 20th at the home of Mary Walsh. Nine members were present. The ladies gave a report on the July Retreat in Alabama. They all enjoyed it very much. The following Tuesday, six of the Ladies met and visited Magnolia Manor. The residents invited us to come back. Our next meeting will be September 9th.

  3. The Vu Family gave 9 bags of children's and women's clothes to the Parish. Mary Walsh sorted them and gave 5 bags along with food to the Serenity house. Four bags were given to the Hope House.

  5. The Parish is scheduled to help the Food Bank on the week of September 13th.
  6.  

  7. The Adult Bible Study will begin classes again on September 12th with the lesson of Understanding the Bible. We will then study the Book of Job.
  8.  

  9. Richard Fetterman gave the financial report on Revenues and Expenses. Book Sale for stained-glass windows earned $1,067.
  10.  

  11. The Parish Picnic is scheduled for October 17th at R.B Wright School. Mary Walsh is to contact the school. Americans are in charge of food this year.
  12.  

  13. Gartland Award: John and Beverly Ferrell has been selected from our Parish.
  14.  

  15. Mary Walsh donated wood that she has for building shelves for books in the Walsh Hall.

 

 

Having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for September 21st at 7:00 p.m.
